Myths In Ayurveda

Since ages, Ayurveda has been used to cure various ailments in the human body. But this 5000-year old science is still struggling to get that trust from the modern generation. The era of Allopathy has taken a toll out of the life of the patients but still prefer Allopathy rather opting for ayurvedic medicines for almost all #chronic_diseases. The reason is the common myths that are attached to the #ayurvedic_treatment, that need to be debunked:

1. People believe that ayurvedic medicines are free from any side-effects. This is not true, anything
that exists in nature has some negative impact when you take it without considering your medical condition. It may happen that you are allergic to some herbs and so consuming those herbs without consulting an ayurvedic consult may affect you.

However, they don’t know that ayurvedic medicines are prescribed based on the #health condition of the patient that is diagnosed by the specialist only.

3. Ayurvedic medicines consist of herbs only: #Ayurvedic_treatment not only constitutes of #herbal
medicines but fixed yoga and exercise regime also. Honey, certain spices, butter, ghee, milk, and so many other products are also used in their organic forms to cure the patient based on the treatment he needs.

as the first solution and only when he does not get the desired result, he opts for #Ayurveda. By the time he consults an ayurvedic specialist, the problem becomes severe that it takes time to get recovered. And the patient believes that ayurvedic treatment is a steady process.

5. Ayurvedic treatments are expensive: The rise of Ayurveda and its commercialization has led to the expensive nature of Ayurveda. This myth is also prevalent among the patients.
