What is polycystic kidney disease?

Patients suffering from polycystic kidney disease develop fluid called cysts inside or at the boundaries of the kidneys. The cysts are non-cancerous fluids that get deposited in the kidney. PKD is a kind of inherited disease that means it is necessary to have one or both the parents to be diagnosed with PKD in order for you to have it.  Cysts normally grow by 0.5 or larger in size and make your kidney enlarge as they grow. As the day passes, the functionality of your kidney reduces if you keep on ignoring the signs of this kind of CKD.  You should carefully look for:

  • ·          Pain in the abdomen
  •        Urinary tract infections
  •        Kidney stones
  •         Itchy or dry skin
  •        Fatigue body or weakness in the body parts
  •        Red or brownish urine because of the presence of blood
  •        Abnormalities in nails
  •        Joint pain
  •        Pain in the back and side of your body
o
Keeping an eye on some most common signs of PKD can prevent you from the #chronic_stages of #kidney_failure as #PKD contributes to the abrupt failure of your kidney.  Diagnosing PKD does not take much of the toll, and your doctor will conduct a series of test to verify you for #PKD. These tests include Ultrasound, MRI scan, CT scan that will ascertain the volume and growth of the cysts inside the #kidneys.

       Treatment

As of now, there are no particular treatments available to cure PKD, but ayurvedic treatment for polycystic kidney disease can help you manage the risks that get developed with PKD, one such risk is kidney failure that can take the life out of you.  The herbal medications that are used in the treatment are completely organic and unprocessed and work on maintaining your:

  •       Blood pressure level: Maintaining an adequate blood pressure is necessary for the deteriorating eating health of the kidney.
  •        Blood or kidney infections:  For blood in the urine, Ayurveda suggests patients drink plenty of water that can help you dilute the urine. Ayurvedic medicine prevents blood clots from forming in the urinary tract.
  •       Bladder or kidney infection:  Ayurvedic medicines for PKD or chronic kidney disease help to eliminate kidney or bladder infections from your body, which are the main reasons for kidney failure.
